UNICERAMIC SAL is the first Company to have produced ceramic floor tiles in the Middle East and remains one of its largest producers. UNICERAMIC is a public shareholding company with a paid-up capital of 25.74 billion LBP divided into 12,870,000 shares that are traded on the Beirut Stock Exchange since 2 May 1996.

The company was founded in 1973 and started production in 1975. In spite of the severe conditions in the Middle East and Lebanon, UNICERAMIC was able to maintain its operations and to grow at an ambitious and aggressive pace. In 1993, UNICERAMIC embarked on an expansion program that modernized several functions and departments in the plant, along with doubling its production capacity.

A new investment was initiated in 2001 amounting to approximately US$ 7,600,000 to add a complete special line to produce high value added items and special pieces. This is consistent with UNICERAMIC’s commitment to excellence in acquiring the latest available technology to be able to maintain its competitive edge. UNICERAMIC has an annual production capacity of 4,200,000 m2 of floor, wall and pool tiles.

The plant has an area of 42,000 m2, built on a 100,000 m2 parcel of land located in the Bekaa Valley, near Chtaura. This geographical location was selected for its proximity to raw materials, skilled manpower, water resources and for being at the crossroads of Uniceramic main export markets in the Arab world.

UNICERAMIC operates 4 showrooms: one in Hazmieh, in the Greater Beirut area where also the Administration, Finance, Marketing and Sales offices are located, the second in Ksara, Hraoui center, Baalbeck main Highway, Bekaa Valley the third one in Jeita, Nseir center and the fourth one in Dbayeh, Farraje center. Uniceramic intends to develop its showroom network further in the future.
